Rachelle “Chelle” Hardnett discovered her desire to become a hairstylist and female entrepreneur at the age of 11, when she promptly became infatuated with the entire beauty industry. Her family encouraged her to shadow in a plethora of full service hair salons at the age of 13, where she studied under a licensed hairstylist and became a shampoo girl working for tips. She started cosmetology school at the age of 14 at Sollers Point Technical High School in Dundalk, MD. The following year, she transferred into Milford Mill High School’s cosmetology program, where she served as the vice president of the class of 2014 and obtained a cosmetology license.
Rachelle’s career quickly began at the age of 17 when she began working in an upscale hair salon in downtown Baltimore, MD. She was able to develop a large clientele spanning the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. Her brand, “Styled by Rachelle,” immediately took off, as she had done hair for Atlantic City Fashion Week sponsored by Mercedes Benz, Raw, several university fashion shows, many local fashion shows, photoshoots, and art shows.
Rachelle is currently seeking a degree in Business Administration at Morgan State University, where she will graduate at the age of 21 and unfold her life changing future plans in the beauty industry. Rachelle’s goal is to make every woman feel beautiful, worthy, and confident.
